Abby Tallman Interior Designer/Owner
Over the last 17 years I have gained a substantial amount of design experience working on projects in London, China and across the United States. After graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, I began my career in London. There I worked for the international luxury lifestyle brand designer, Allegra Hicks. Upon my return, I began working for a prestigious residential and commercial design firm in California where I led and collaborated with designers on projects ranging from residential and commercial, to international.
With a strong passion and love of design, I strive to meet all my client's dreams and goals when it comes to their room or entire home. My creativity and driven personality make it possible for me to create quality and aesthetically pleasing designs. I'm always on the lookout for new projects that challenge me to explore the unknown. With my diverse set of design skills and great deal of insight in both the residential and commercial fields, I can tackle any project big or small.
When I'm not designing, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends and continuing the renovation of my fixer-upper home.
Guilty pleasures: I wouldn’t turn down a glass of prosecco, a cupcake of any kind, and someday want to adopt a french bulldog.

Amy Mathie Director of Operations/Owner
Over the last 17 years I have provided exceptional behind-the-scenes support during each phase of the design process to ensure an enjoyable experience for each client. I have solid relationships with vendors coast to coast and work diligently with them to meet the needs of your project. As the operations director I'll ensure the procurement of product to delivery is a seamless one.
With a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, I later made the transition from graphic to interior design when I founded Happy Interiors in 2009. Armed with those prior years of industry experience, and a little bit of courage, Happy Interiors Group was born. (And the name? We came up with that at a happy hour!)
When I'm not burried in paperwork I'm using that graphic design background to create a social media following as well as marketing materials for the company.
I enjoy traveling, socalizing with friends and of course my beloved siamese cat. Who is often sitting on my desk as I'm typing up orders.
Guilty pleasures: I wouldn’t pass up an ice cold beer, chips and salsa, a trip to the casino (or even better), Vegas.
